Ghanim International Corporation was founded on the vision to contribute to a dynamic and diversified economy of Brunei. Today we are proud to say that we continue to champion the development of the food industry by working in partnership with local SMEs to develop high quality food products under the bruneihalalfoods brand for customers, locally and internationally. We have been tirelessly working on developing new product portfolios over the past two years to go hand in hand with our global aspirations where we now have close to 100 products in diverse ranges from snacks to daily needs, beverages, seafoods, chicken, beef and other value added items.

Today, the brand receives encouraging response from current and potential regional and international clients including China, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Bangladesh. We are ambitiously setting our sights to extend our reach globally covering important markets including Asia, Middle East and Europe where we want to gain solid footing in for bruneihalalfoods products, as part of our aspirations to be an iconic Halal brand that excels through innovation and virtue. Demand for the Halal food is larger than ever as the global Halal food market is valued over $1.24 trillion in 2016 and is expected to continue growing in the next decade. Therefore, we are capitalizing on the opportunity to craft our niche in this ever growing Halal market.

bruneihalalfoods was born as a response to the growing concern to advocate for the authenticity of halal by setting a standard underpinned by stringent process and elevate Brunei Darussalam to be among the big players of the halal food market. Together with Brunei’s strong status as a peaceful Muslim nation, the government set to build a premium global brand that is recognised globally and simultaneously support the diversification of the economy through the development of the food industry and local businesses.

Alhamdulillah, after a decade we feel more confident than ever that we can become an iconic halal brand in the world that excels through innovation and virtue which have not come without our fair share of trials and errors as we find our fit/ niche in the industry. As we met with various issues and challenges in our journey, we re-evaluated our objectives and the role we were playing and subsequently maneuvered a strategic repositioning of the organisation to include establishing local suppliers, developing new products to opening up new markets.

We have been working tirelessly to develop unique and innovative products in partnership with local businesses, a commitment we take seriously as we aspire to support the government to diversify the economy, drive import substitution and increase exports coming out of Brunei. Today, we have over 80 SKUs in our portfolio in over 26 product ranges from processed food products to fresh produce, meat and seafood for retail and food service market with strong networks in Brunei, China, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Bangldesh, Philippines and Japan. Our specialty products can be enjoyed on board Royal Brunei Airlines. With our retail kiosk concept at the airport, local and international travellers have the opportunity to take Brunei food treasures to their loved ones overseas. We are proud to say that one of our products – the Blue Shrimp Crackers was recognised as the Best Artisan/ Local Food Product at Gulf Food Innovation Awards in 2017 at one of the largest food expo globally – the Gulfood Expo. This gives us the confidence that Brunei made products can indeed be globally competitive.

We truly believe that Brunei could be a competitive player in the halal food industry and it is our aspirations for bruneihalalfoods to be a global exporter of premium halal foods products and a halal product solutions provider. We aim to achieve this by continuing to be at the forefront of innovation, opening up new markets through various channels, forming strategic partnerships with FDI and SMEs, exploring opportunities in import substitution and gradually becoming a leading provider of household halal food products.  

We aspire to continue working hard to grow our product range and the capacity of our partners to meet international standards and produce products that are globally competitive that can become household products. To our supplier partners, by working with bruneihalalfoods, we act as a strategic partner to bring your products into the overseas market through the support of government agencies and ministries. Exporting has never been more important than ever before to the country’s growth therefore, we wish to work together with you to develop the right product for the different markets and to continue innovating on the products until we can achieve success. It is only by working together with you that the insurmountable ambition can be achieved, for the benefit of the nation.
